| Army organize ex-servicemen rally | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Sept 22: Ex-serviceman rally was today organized at Chasana area of Rajouri by 54 Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of headquarter 14 sector Rashtriya Rifles for ex-servicemen of far flung areas of Rajouri and Reasi districts. The rally was inaugurated by Brigadier NP Singh, commander 14 Sector Rashtriya Rifles while Mohammad Hanief Bhat, Sub Divisional Magistrate Mahore along with Surjit Singh Sub Divisional Police Officer Mahore were also present on the occasion. During the rally 261 ex-servicemen , 31b Veer nari and 41 civilians participated.
Official stalls of horticulture, agriculture, J&K Bank, State Bank of India, Sheep Husbandry, Airtel, Aircel, Helpline, Medical and Eye Camp were put during the rally.
The rally being first of its kind in this year will provide the ex-servicemen a brief exposure to the development, quality of life and other facility which have been given after retirement from army service. Ex-servicemen expressed their gratitude to the Army for providing an opportunity to interact with government officials and making them such facility available during the rally. |
