| Diwali ,Eid literary meet held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | OCT 27 Adbi Kunj which has always served as a glaring example of the high secular traditions in J&K organized a special Diwali-Eid Milan Meet which was attended by a large number of poets, writers intellectuals and other respectable citizens. The meet was presided over by a known writer and poet Muni Lal Puri, while Anand Lehar eminent Urdu novelist and short story writer was the chief guest. In his welcome address president , Adbi Kunj conveyed good wishes to all the participants on the occasion of Diwali –Eid and said that these festivals provided us an opportunity to reiterate our commitment to the ideals of tolerance, equality and brotherhood. Talib Kashmiri conduct the proceedings said that all religions teach us to tread the path of peace and humanity which has assumed greater significance in the current situation. The other speakers who spoke on the occasion included Anand Lehar, Muni Lal Puri, Daya Ram Daya, Jaswant Singh and Nargis Sitara who conveyed best wishes to the countrymen and said that celebrations of such festivals affirmed out faith in the secular traditions of our country. In the composite Mushaira held on the occasion beside others Muni Lal Puri, Talib Kashmiri, Anand Lehar, Jaswant Singh, Mohd Yaseem Ansari, Ram Pal Sharma, Chander Ved Prakash, Nargis Sitara, Sahil Dogra, Harinder Harry, Rajeev Kujmar, Khairati Lal Arsh and Sham Talib.
