Chief Secretary reviews law and order | | | EARLY TIMES report Jammu, Sept 22: A high level team of state officials held a review of situation in Police Control Room Jammu here today. The meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary, S S Kapoor who was accompanied by Principal Secretary Home, B.R Sharma, DGP J&K Kuldeep Khoda and Spl. DG CRPF N K Tripathi, discussed all security related matters and asserted that all possible security arrangements would be ensured for the peaceful atmosphere in the region. Kapoor directed to take necessary steps for maintaining law and order in the region. He said no body should be allowed to vitiate the atmosphere at any cost. Further, law and order arrangements were also discussed to handle any unforeseen events in view of impending decision of the court on religious place on September 24. DGP, J&K Khoda emphasised upon Senior Police officers for maintaining close Coordination with each other and directed them to take firm action against anyone trying to disturb peace and tranquility in the region. The sufficient forces are available to deal any situation in the region, he added. The meeting was attended among others by the IG Security Farooq Ahmed, IG CID Hqrs. Dr B. Sriniwas, IG Armed, Ravinder Kotwal, Dy Director IB, Commissioner Spl Bureau, DC Jammu M K Diwedi besides all range DIGs , SSP Jammu and SSP CID.
