Rajouri, Sept 22: The Ayodhya ghost has once again casts its shadow over the Rajouri district and has put the district administration on high alert to foil any attempt of the anti-national, anti- social elements to disturb the tranquility, peace and brotherhood in the district.
On the instructions issued by the IGP Jammu province to maintain law and order in all the districts, elaborate security arrangements have been made in the district to deal with any law and order problem .
To take into confidence and to utilize their services for maintain law and order, a meeting of the respectable persons of Rajouri city and its adjoining areas was convened today by the district administration to get their help in maintaining peace and tranquility .GA Khawaja, DC has appealed to the people, who recently maintained communal harmony and brotherhood during protests against desecration of holy Quran in USA and killing of three innocent protestors at Mendhar, for protecting and maintaining age old brotherhood and tranquility. The officers also cautioned against mischievous, anti national and anti social elements who could try to exploit the atmosphere for their vested interests. After intelligence inputs, adequate security arrangements have been made in Sunderbani, Kalakot, Kotranka, Rajouri, Thanamandi, Manjakot tehsils. Meanwhile, many political, social and religious leaders from both the communities have appealed to the people not to resort to violence and also said that it is not a final verdict and the aggrieved party could appeal in the Apex court. |
