| BSNL employees hold protest, demand transfer of TDM alleging ill working style | | | EARLY TIMES report
Udhampur, Sept 22: Irked employees of BSNL today held demonstrations outside the TDM office demanding immediate transfer of TDM BSNL alleging great loss to company due to ill functioning of TDM. Union leaders alleging TDM for his autocratic style of functioning demanded immediate transfer of officer to safeguard the interest of employees as well as company which has already incurred heavy losses due to his functioning. They alleged that due to widening of Dhar road from TCP to Slathia chowk the BSNL utilities which were to be shifted were inordinately delayed due to lack of will and ego of the Udhampur head TDM who did not attend a single meeting with Deputy Commissioner despite instruction by said officer to take on spot decision regarding it.
Employees alleged that company has suffered loss of crores rupees having rendered more than one thousand lane line and broad band useless.
They alleged that TDM even failed to get compensation from the district administration for shifting of utilities from Dhar road whereas PHE and PDD departments got lakhs of rupees for shifting their utilitiesUnion also alleged services being provided by company at Doda district are at its lowest ebb due to negligence and irresponsibility of concerned controlling officer and demanded removal of present TDM and posting of efficient and energetic person so that interest of BSNL and its employees could be safeguarded.
Meanwhile administration had already deployed heavy police force on main gate of TDM office to avoid visitors. |
