Shastri submits memorandum to AP delegation, demands special financial package | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 22: President of the National Conference, (NMC) Subash Shastri, has appealed the all Party Delegation led by Union Home Minister to provide special financial package of Rs.Five Thousand Crore to Jammu and Kashmir for fully funding expenditures for implementation of 6th Pay commission recommendations in favour of state government employees and pensioners. In a memorandum submitted to all party delegation here last evening, Shastri pleaded for liberal funding to J&K so that besides providing all benefits of the 6th Pay Commission to the state government employees and pensioners as well as payment of arrears on account of pay revision. He added the centre should immediately come to rescue J&K and announce a special package. In the memorandum Shastri appreciated the chief minister and his cabinet colleagues for timely implementation of the 6th pay commission, release of 6 and 5 % and 8% ending DA installments due from January , July and January last, enhancement of wages of daily wagers from Rs.70 to Rs.110 per day. Shastri said that with price rise and inflation the every salaried class is facing a lot of economic hardships. Regularization of the services of daily wagers, contractual, consolidate employees, adoc employees of the various Govt. Departments release of wages of motivators working in IWDP project , Akhnoor beside there regularization, grant of disturbed area allowance, continuance of services of seasonal labour working irrigation division Akhnoor and division II etc. were other demands highlighted in the memorandum. |
