| Subash Park presents a picture of utter neglect | | Bhoop Ngr residents appeal for its maintenance | | EARLY TIMES report
Kishtwar, Sept 22: Few years ago when Subash Park came into being in Boop Nagar Kishtwar near lush green Chogan, it emerged as one of the most spectacular picnic spot and had became one of the hot favourites for city residents .
However today the beautiful park is crying for official apathy for maintenance as the clean and green place has lost its sheen due to the administrations negligent attitude.
Fully grown grass and broken fencing and gate presents dismissal picture of neglect .
According to local resident and Panther Party district secy Om Parkash Sen ,park was providing an excellent ambience couple of years before & was attracting a large number of people seeking solace in the lap of nature but due to govt's & district administration apathy park presents dismal picture of neglect .
He alleged that the park is not being maintained by administration due to which now people are not visiting here who were usual mornings and evening walkers here as Park presents pathetic condition to everyone passing by.
He alleged that the Nallah flowing between the park is stinking and the stench is so strong that people sitting in the park have to pass by with clothes kept close to nose. Stray animals also add problem as the fencing of park has been totally damaged.
Another local resident Inderjeet Singh alleged that there is no gardener who looks after the greenery of the park.
He alleged that number of times people approach administration in this regard but nothing was done.
Local residents have appealed administration to maintain and upkeep the park which is loosing its glory day by day. |
