| Militant sympathiser held in Rajouri | | | JAMMU: A militant sympathiser was apprehended by security forces from Dali area of Rajouri Tuesday evening. He was identified as Muzamil (24), son of Mohammad Ismail of Dali. Police sources said he was caught by a joint column of Rashtriya Rifles and police on a tip-off.
He had been working for militants and providing them daily use items and logistic support for the past some time, the sources added.
His sustained interrogation was on.
Man hurt in bear attack
at Pancheri
UDHAMPUR: A man was injured critically after being mauled by a bear at Junglegali in Pancheri area of Udhampur today.
Official sources said Dhani Ram was working in his field close to his house at Junglegali when a bear came from behind and attacked him, causing him serious injuries. Hearing his screams, some villagers, who were working in the nearby fields, came to his rescue and scared away the animal by stoning it, the sources added.
He was undergoing treatment at the district hospital here. |
