| NABARD holds symposium | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 23: NAB ARD in collaboration with the Business School, Jammu University today conducted a symposium on Rural Cooperative Credit Structure (CCS) in the state.
Minister of state for cooperative, Manohar Lal was the chief guest on the occasion, who inaugurated the programme, which was attended by ML Sukhdeve, CGM NABARD, RD Sharma, Ashok Aima, Dean Faculty of Management studies, Prof BC sharma, Dr GN
Qasba, Kapil Sharma and Mohd Aslam.
The representatives of all the stakeholders of Cooperative Credit Structure viz PACS, state government, cooperative banks, farmers, NCUI, cooperative Federation and academic experts from various institutions participated in the symposium.
ML Sukhdeve highlighted the features of the CCS in the state and initiatives taken by NABARD to further strengthen it. The revival package for ST CCS aimed at making the structure viable and vibrant.
Minister of state for cooperative appreciated the initiatives taken by NABARD in organising the programme and indicated the initiatives of the state government taken for development of Aam Admi, the farmers, landless labourers, rural artisans and credit will have to flow to them, he said. |
