| CBI inquiry demanded in seizure of simcards from a J&K jail | | | JAMMU, OCT 28 Shiv Sena activists today held a demonstration here demanding a CBI inquiry into recent seizure of simcards and mobile phones from the Kotbalwal jail which houses foreign as well as local militants.
The activists, led by Shiv Sena general secretary Ashok Gupta, raised slogans against the government and the Kotbalwal jail authorities for allowing the use of mobile phones in the high security prison, where over 350 foreign and local militants are being kept.
Gupta demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter and asked the government to punish those guilty of supplying the gadgets to the militants.
The authorities had recovered two simcards from a Hizbul Mujahideen militant Altaf Chowdhary and a prisoner Gurmeet Singh in Kotbalwal jail recently.
