| When will police quiz Saroori in the MBBS/BDS impersonation racket? | | | early times report
Jammu, Sept 23: Even after the arrival of sacked Congress Minister GM Saroori after performing Umrah the state police authorities are yet to quiz him to further made headway in the ongoing investigation in the MBBS/BDS impersonation scam.
On August 25 when the congress minister left the country the next day he was sacked by the chief minister Omar Abdullah.Before that he defied the party high command and refused to resign.
The much hyped case came to light when daughter of the senior congress minister was found to have been using an impersonator in place of her to appear in the medical entrance examination of the private medical college here in Jammu.
After police arrested seven impersonators in the case and name of GM Saroori and NC leader surfaced as their children were one of the beneficiaries the state government took serious note of it and ordered a CBI probe in the matter.
For record sake the CBI is still weighing down its options and studying the content of the case before taking it up for furthr probe.
Meanwhile, after the arrival of the sacked congress minister the state police handling the investigation in the case have failed to get in touch with the congress legislator to seek details of how his daughter came in contact with the kingpin of the impersonation racket and managed to arrange one impersonator for Uttar Pradesh to appear on her behalf.Ironically, the powerful congress MLA is moving around with a big smil eonhis face and maintaining the posture that he was made scapegoat by his detractors in the party and he and his daughter had nothing to do with the impersonation racket. |
