| 'Regularise daily wagers in PDD' | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
kathua, Sept 23: All J&K PDD Daily Wager Association today held a peaceful demonstration at Executive Engineer's office Kathua. The demonstration was led by the president of the association Comrade Ram Krishan in which hundreds of PDD employees and daily wagers took part. Ram Krishan said that these daily wagers had attended their duties on the station, receiving station, Grid Stations, and also the computerized billing section.
Saying that the daily wagers are the back bone of the PDD department and engaged on March 31,1994, the association members appealed to the Chief minister through development commissioner (Power), PDD, J&K for their regularization who have completed 7 years service at the earliest against the available vacancies in the department. The All Daily Wagers Association urged the government to address immediately their long pending genuine demands which include for regularisation of all daily wagers who have completed their seven years, lifting of ban from the engagement of daily wagers as per SRO64 of 19194, the wages may be released every month. Other demands included conversion of all persons engaged on need based to daily wagers. Others present included Vice president Sushil Kumar, Rajnikant, Radha Sham, Ashok Kumar, Nirmal Singh, Vinay Kumar, Mangal Singh, Partap Singh, Ganesh Singh. |
