| Seminar on role of youth in peace making organized | | | EARLY TIMES Report
JAMMU, Sept 23: Two days Seminar cum Workshop on "Role of Youth in Peace making" organized by NSS Units of G.G.M. Science College, Jammu on Thursday which was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp by Prof. M.S. Baloria, Principal G.G.M. Science College, Jammu and Chairperson of NSS along with Capt. Parashotam Sharma Vice President Bal Niketn Ved Mandir Amphalla, Jammu. Prof Baloria in his inaugural address stressed for the need of the youth to be involved in peace making particularly in reference to J&K State which is presently in turmoil. Later a very detailed and impressive lecture was delivered by Capt. Parshotam Sharma Vice-President Ved Mandir Amphalla, Jammu. In the afternoon session, Prof. Vijay Sharma from Govt. College for Woman Gandhi Nagar, Jammu highlighted the "Role of Youth in Peace Making" followed by active interaction between NSS Volunteers and Speaker.
In this evening 80 NSS Volunteers from Morning and 50 NSS Volunteers from Evening Shift are participated.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Prof. Ram Singh, Dr. Rajinder Sharma and Prof. Vijay Kumar Chandan NSS Programme Officers of the College.
NSS Commander Sumit Kumar Dogra, Mohd. Arif lead the team of volunteers which include Rohit, Prikshit, Navjot Bakshi, Ankush Sharma, Parveen Sharma and Rahul Thakur.
