| Rs 26 lakh’s embezzlement surfaces out in JDA, two employees arrested | | | early times report
Jammu, Sept 23: Trikuta Nagar police arrested two employees of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) on the allegations of embezzlement of Rs 26 lakh. For recovery of the same questioning of both the accused was in progress in the lock up till mid night. The embezzlement was found during audit .A JDA official on anonymity said that the audit team during work out found embezzlement and the same was reported to the Vice Chancellor Jammu Development Authority Vinod Sharma. VC in turn informed the police that two employees cashier Parshotam Kumar and Accountant Suresh Rajdhan embezzled huge amount of rupees .
Duo was active in embezzlement since 2007.A police team led by SHO Trikuta Nagar Abid Rafiqi reached on the spot and arrested them. A case under section 409 RPC has been registered against both of them under FIR NO 231/2010,giving information a police officer said. |
