2100 Airtel SIM cards seized, two held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sept 23: Janipur police arrested two youth and recovered 2100 SIM cards of Airtel from their possession. Though the police is tight lipped over the matter, but highly placed sources said that a trap was laid by police on specific information that two persons are on way to Kishtwar with the consignment of 2100 SIM cards of a private telephony company from Janipur area. The arrested youth have been identified as Rajinder Gupta son of Raj Kumar Gupta resident of Pacca Danga and Sanjay Sapolia son of Pritam Ram resident of Bhaderwah at present Janipur. During their questioning, sources said, police found that duo arranged SIM cards through illegal means as the SIMs were issued to them without verification and documentation. Sources said that duo during interrogation admitted that they had to deliver the consignment to a Kishtwar based person. Police is also suspecting that if both had links with the militants. The interrogation of both the youth was in progress in Janipur police station to know from whom they managed the consignment. |
