| Army flags off Sadhbhavna tour | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 24: A tour of elders to various places in Rajasthan was flagged off by Commander 163 Infantry Brigade from Nariyan in Rajouri today. ‘Karvaan-e-Aman’ as the tour is called, comprises of 26 elders from remote areas of Rajouri Distt. The tour aims to increase awareness about the rich cultural heritage in other parts of the country. Elders would be visiting places of historical and cultural significance in Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Mount Abu over a period of 12 days from September 24 to October 5, 2010. Speaking on the occasion, Cdr 163 Inf Brigade expressed the hope that the tour would go a long way in promoting peace in the region, besides giving the elders an opportunity to visit places of which they had only heard of till now. Elders were very enthusiastic and thankful to Army for having given them this opportunity of a lifetime, as most of them never had opportunity to even go out of their remote villages.
