| PM's Kerala visit cancelled | | |

Thiruvananthapuram: The proposed programme of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to lay the foundation of a new sponge plant of Kerala Minerals and Metals at Chavara in Kollam on November 1, 2006 has been cancelled.
Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told reporters after a cabinet meeting today that the programme was cancelled as there was some problem in providing helicopter landing facility at Chavara.
The function would be held on another date, he added.
