SRTC employees raise demands | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 25: Jammu and Kashmir Volunteers Retirement Employees Association (JKVREA) today held "To Meet the Press" programme here today. While talking to media persons, President of the union Dev Raj Bali alleged that state government as well as management of SRTC is befooling employees. Bali said that on September 3, state government had announced that all the dues of PSU and SRTC employees, who opt for VRS, shall be cleared immediately but even after lapse of three weeks, nothing has been done. Bali demanded implementation of 6th pay commission and payment of its arrears to the retired employees. He also sought release of COLA arrears with effect from 1999, remittance of fund amount into their respective accounts and payment of interest at 12 percent on these dues. He further demanded release of long pending salaries from February to September to all VRS employees. Bali warned that if their dues are not cleared, they would take the path of agitation. Others who attended the meeting included Prem Nath, Surinder Singh, Balbinder Singh, Surat Singh, Ehsan Elati and Mohammed Sharif. |
