Hindi Diwas concludes at GCW Gandhi Nagar

JAMMU, Sept 25: In connection with concluding week of Hindi Diwas, a function was organised by Jammu and Kashmir Rashtriyabhasha Parchar Simiti in the auditorium of Government College for Women, (GCW) Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said that Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September to pay tribute to our national language as Hindi was adopted as the official language of Constituent assembly on September 14, 1949. He said that Constitution of India adopted Hindi in Devnagri Script as the official language of the union under Article 343 in 1950. He said that Hindi language belongs to Indo-Aryan branch of indo European language family adding that the word 'Hindi' itself is a gift of Persian, Mughals added to its flavour, Amir Khusro was first to write Hindi Poem.
Minister complimented the Jammu and Kashmir Rashtra Bhasha Parchar Smiti for organizing Hindi seminar on the eve of Hindi Diwas across the Jammu region. He also hoped that in the present times of globalization such type of literary interactions will succeed to unite writers in particular and common masses in general with our tradition and culture and will also strengthen inter-lingual and inter-regional relations.
Prof Nalini Kohli congratulated the scholars, writers community and Jammuites on Hindi Diwas and said that India is Known for its unity in diversity and Hindi as national language played an important role to unite the whole country. He further said that we should be proud to be Indian instead of regional and cultural differences. Convener, Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Smiti Dr Satya Pal Shrivatsa gave detailed information of the organization and its programmes to promote national language.
On the occasion, Hindi poets Prof Nalini Kohli, Prof. Raj Kumar, Prof. Ram Bahadur Sukal, Om Parakash Vidayarthi, K K Sakir, Prof. Sanjay Singh Sambyal, Mrs. Yogita Yadav, Sanjeev Bhasin, Dayaram Daya, Dr. Rama Sharma, Dr. Aruna Sharma, Krishen Kumar Sharma, Raj Saigal, Prof. Ravinder Kumar Raina and Prof. Bharat Bhushan Sharma read the Hindi poems.
Later, Bhalla also distributed mementos among the participated speakers.
