| Death of veteran Journalist Charkha condoled | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 25: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President JKPCC & former Union Minister Prof. Saifuddin Soz, (MP) has condoled the death of senior journalist R S Charkha, who passed away today after a prolonged illness. He conveyed his condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family.
General Secretary and Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has also condoled the demise of Charkha.
Expressing deep shock and grief over the death, Sharma described him an efficient, honest and dedicated journalist who served the society in a better possible manner.
He was also a social worker and sympathized with poor people. He expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul in heaven.
Meanwhile, in a condolence meet held at the Panthers Party headquarter, the sudden demise of prominent journalist and social activist S. Rajinder Singh Charkha was condoled.
The Panthers Party leaders have expressed grave shock over the death.
They remembered the sacrifices made by S. Charkha during the 1979 Poonch agitation when the people were fighting against injustice and discrimination let loose, S. Charkha who was leading the agitation in Poonch stood like a rock with the peoples' cause against the government.
It was felt in the meeting that the death of S. Charkha who was a great journalist also has created a void which cannot fill. Two minutes silence was observed and sympathy with the family of S. Charkha was expressed.
