| SAD Badal welcome 8-point package | | |

Jammu, Sept 26: To take stock of 8- point package announced by the center government of J&K has been welcomed by the Shiromani Alali Dal (SAD) Badal at a meeting chaired by party president Mohinder Singh here today.
As per press release SAD has welcomed the package and hope that this will help in solving the Kashmir problem, but it is a process and not end in itself. SAD also appreciate the Constitution of two Apex Committees one each for Jammu and Ladakh Regions and will afford an opportunity to people of different shades of the society and stakes holders to express their views on the present crisis, causes and remedies there off and hope that government will appoint persons of high repute, independent and unbiased mind in these committees. This alone will make it possible to redress the woes of people who have been discriminated and ignored. Meanwhile J&K National Party president Dr Randeep Singh Parihar hails the Govt of India for announcing 8-point package for Kashmir. He has said that it is welcome step and the right thinking peoples should support the Govt of India. The credit goes to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress Gen Sec Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for taking bold initative for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir problem.
JKNP appeals to Govt of India that those who killed during Sh. Amarnath Land Movement in Jammu region in 2008 should also be given the compensation.
Dr Randeep Singh Parhar said that we should support Govt of India initiative on Kashmir does not mean that we should forget the Jammu cause.
