| Randhir Singh: Constitute task force for Jammu, Ladakh immediately | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 26: Welcoming the 8-points initiative announced by the central government on Jammu and Kashmir. Former minister Thakur Randhir Singh has demanded that the two task forces proposed in the package for Jammu and Ladakh should be constituted immediately so that the development concerns and political aspirations along with restoration of peace and normalcy in Kashmir valley are addressed simultaneously. Addressing a working committee meeting of senior leaders of the state NCP to review the initiatives on Jammu and Kashmir announced last evening. Singh urged for appointing persons of eminence, higher caliber and having no political affiliations as chairman and other interloculators for initiating the dialogue process with political parties groups youth and students organizations, civil society organizations, religious organizations, farmers, labourers, traders and other in state. Singh regretted that most of the delegations could not meet all party delegation who represent large section of the populations. Singh while appreciating the efforts of all party parliamentary delegation to reach out the various sections of the society of the state during their recent visit, said that such a mechanism should be continued to exist for coordinating and monitoring the implementation of center’s initiative on J&K ensuring early peace, progress and prosperity of people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions and assured whole hearted support of his party to achieve the objectives.
