| J&K govt has lost credibility among masses: PDP | | | Early Times Report HIRANAGAR, Sept 26: Expressing his concern over prevailing anarchy and chaos in the State, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that prevailing situation is the result of total failure of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who has miserable failed to identify himself with the masses. Addressing a public meeting here today, PDP General Secretary Thakur Balbir Singh said that since its formation, this government has been indulging in cheap politicking. “Instead of identifying with the common masses, NC government has increased alienation among the people through its policies and programmes”, he rued. He further added that inability of the present dispensation to identity itself with the people has proved disastrous as the state has slipped back to the early 90s situation. He reminded that people that in 2008 assembly elections there was historical turned out in the state in general and Kashmir Valley. “It is unfortunate that the present government headed by Omar Abdullah has once against shattered peoples’ faith in the democracy”, he rued and added that this regime has failed to honour the mandate of the people. “Omar Abdullah has proved as an immature and failed Chief Minister as he has not lost credibility but also failed to take benefit of the conducive atmosphere which was created due to the sincere efforts of previous regime headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed”, Singh said and regretted that instead of consolidation process of peace, present regime has miserable spoiled the atmosphere and created sense of insecurity among the common people. Former Sarpanch Desraj, former Sarpanch Hans Raj, Shalu Ram, Jeevan Singh and R P Verma also addressed the meeting.
