Ramgarh, Sept 26: A mammoth rally of Youth Congress was organised today in Trindian, a remote border village of Ramgarh area, where about 1000-odd youth and local villagers took part.
The scene was charged with renting of slogans, Rahul Gandhi zindabad, Youth Congress zindabad, Shoaib Lone zindabad, R. S. Pathania zindabad, beating of drums and bursting of crackers.
Shoaib Lone, President PYC while addressing the people elaborated policies and programmes of Youth Congress and its role in spreading the party network upto the grassroots level.
R. S. Pathania, Senior Vice-President, J & K P.Y.C. took a potshot at the B.J.P. and the unpredictable Panthers and other fundamentalist organizations. He said that these organisations stand exposed for their dubious and double-standards. They have done nothing but exploited the sentiments of Jammu people whereas Congress believes in equitable development of all the three regions and peace and tranquility all-over there.
The local people presented a volley of demands including sanctioning of tehsil status for Ramgarh.
The rally had been organised by Dr. Pankaj Bhagat, budding Youth Congress leader of the area. The gathering was further addressed by a wide galaxy of Youth Congress including Yash Paul, Amit Chib, Shivang Satya Gupta, Varun Singhla, Neeraj Gupta, Pranav, Sonu Dogra, Jyoti Sharma, Ekta Koul, Shashi Bhushan Advocate,Maheshwar,Ajay Jamwal, Mandeep Singh, Raghubir Singh, Jagdev Chand, Manohar Lal and other prominent people.
