Relief material distributed in flood-hit Leh

JAMMU, Sept 26: EXTENDING a helping hand, Ladhak Aapda Sahayata Kosh in collaboration with Sewa Bharti distributed relief material to flood affected area of Leh.
It has started relief work in 59 villages, 957 families were facilitated 1843 blankets, 942 utensils and 2324 clothes sets were distributed.
Chairman of the Kosh Brig. (Retd.) Suchet Singh had recently handed over 21 newly constructed houses by Sewa Bharti to those people who have lost their houses in the cloud burst in the areas of village Shey, Blama, Saspol, Biama. He also handed over 16 water mills to those who have lost their mills in the cloud burst.
Number of Sewa Bharti And LASK workers are doing the relief and rehabilitation work run by the organizations. Brig. Singh visited all the affected areas of the Ladakh and showed full satisfaction over the relief work.
Meanwhile, 14 shopkeepers were given all the materials to run their shops which included Barber shops, four dhabas, one video lab., three tailors shops, one stove repairing shop and three vegetable stores .
