PRM terms Centre’s package as anti-Jammu
9/26/2010 11:06:53 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 26: Peoples Revolutionary Movement (PRM) has criticized the government of India for being insensitive, immature, pro-secessionist and anti-Jammu approach as has been amply demonstrated during the All Party Parliamentary Delegation’s visit to the state and the 8-point formula announced by the Union Home Minister after the cabinet Committee on Security’s meeting in New Delhi recently.
In an executive meeting held, today, under the chairmanship of its leader Rajinder Jamwal to discuss Jammu and Kashmir issue, PRM cautioned the Govt not to succumb to the secessionists designs being executed at the behest of their mentors across borders, act strongly against law breakers and anti-nationals, no step should be taken which otherwise vindicates or encourages secessionists stand and demoralizes our brave soldiers.
PRM felt that the 8 point initiative of the central government clearly demonstrates that it has succumbed to the secessionists and foreign powers and in a calculative manner is lowering the guard in Kashmir anticipating the visit of American President to India. PRM further warned that people are watching all the moves of the UPA government on Kashmir and would not tolerate its misadventures like its predecessors’ BJP led NDA on Jammu and Kashmir.
PRM strongly believes that Govt of India should immediately stop dragging Jammu along Kashmir in its dangerous game plan as solution of Jammu problem has nothing to do with Kashmir and reorganisation of the state is only solution to all the ills plaguing the state.
PRM was highly critical of the central government in its dilly-dallying tactics over the appointment of a local as Vice Chancellor of Jammu Central University and further cautioned against attempts to impose an agent of central government and foreign powers who want to meddle in the affairs of Jammu and Kashmir.
