| NIC inaugurated at Ramnagar | | Be Ambassadors of peace: DDC to youth | | Early Times Report Udhampur Sept 26: Amidst culture flavour and festivity, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur,. Baseer Ahmed Khan inaugurated a week long National Integration Camp (NIC) at Youth Hostel , Ramnagar in Udhampur district. The camp is being organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Udhampur. As many as 150 youths including male and female from different states of the country like Haryana, Punjab, Tamil Naidu, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir participated in the National Integration Camp. The basic objective of the camp is to spread the massage of nationalism, communal harmony, peace and brotherhood among the people from all walks of life as well as nation wide opportunity to the rural youths for their best possible participation in the National Integration activity. While addressing the youth, the DDC said that holding of such national level event in the district could go a long way in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, communal harmony and peace which was a prerequisite for any country to march towards social and economic prosperity. Terming the camp a vital opportunity for the youth of different states, Khan said such events provide an opportunity to the youth to interact on a common platform and share their views and diverse culture amongst them which further help them to be more responsible citizens of the country. He exhorted upon the participants to put in their sincere efforts for the nation building process and be ambassadors of peace and spread the massage of goodwill and brotherhood to every nook and corner of the country. On the occasion a scintillating cultural programme depicting diverse cultural ethos of different states were also presented by the participants, which was highly appreciated by the audience. Zonal Director NYK, Choudhary Mohd. Atif, Deputy Director NYK, Mr. S.S. Kashyap, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Mr. Sayeed Sajjad, Tehsildar, Ramnagar, Mr. Sanjeet Sharma, Officer of different departments, prominent citizens and volunteers of NYK presented in the camp.
