| Police forms youth clubs for strengthening communal harmony | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 26: In order to curb crime from society and for strengthening communal harmony police is forming youth clubs. The step was taken by police to narrow down the gap between police and civil society. In this connection police officers led by SDPO City S S Sambyal and SHO Pacca Danga Vishal Sharma held a meeting with the youth of the city including Karan Nagar, Panjtirthi, Rehari, Pacca Danga and Indira Chowk at City Palace today. In the meet police officers stressed upon the youth to maintain communal harmony. They also asked youth to remain vigil and inform police if they come across any suspicious movement.
SDPO City SS Sambyal addressing gathering said that though we used to held meetings with the senior citizens, it was for the first time that a meet with the youth of city was organised. He further said that youth are the future of nation. Sambyal assured that a cricket tournament with the active support of the police will be organised for further strengthening of bond between both sides. The meeting which was attended by around hundred youth in one voice assured police officers that they would act like a VDC member and always remain on forefront to help police. Prominent among the youth who participated in the programme were Wahid Mugal, Yasin Sheikh,Sajad Ahmed of Mohalla Ustad,Rakesh Mahajan of Raj Tilak Road,Nishan of Kali Jani and Pawan Singh of Panjtirthi.
