| Eight gamblers arrested, Rs 34500 recovered | | | Jammu : Gandhi Nagar police arrested eight gamblers from the area and recovered rupees thirty four thousand and five hundred ( Rs 34500) from their possession. Gandhi Nagar police led by SHO Rafiq Manhas under the supervision of SP South Rajeshwer Singh on specific information conducted a raid in Gandhi Nagar area and arrested eight persons who were engross in playing gamble.
They have been identified as Suny Gupta son of Raguveer Krishan Gupta, Surjeet Sharma son of Sohan Lal Sharma, Ashok Singh son of Amar Singh, Ashok Singh Jamwal son of Balwan Singh Jamwal and Anil Kumar son of Madu Lal all residents of Nanak Nagar and Subash Chander son of Naik Ram resident of Channi Himmat, Sanjeev Singh son of Bhagat Sigh resident of Trikuta Nagar and Deeraj Katoch son of Om Prakash resident of Roop Nagar. A case under section 13 gambling act has been registered against them. |
