| Court bails out ten alleged gamblers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur, Sept 27: District Mobile Magistrate, Udhampur today bailed out ten persons who were allegedly arrested by police in gambling cat from Basantgrah area of udhampur yesterday .After release from police custody, the persons allege that police with malafied intention to grab the amount with them has arrested them and involved in gambling case. They alleged that police has recovered more than two lakh from all the ten arrested by police but has shown only 15,000 before police.
They also met DIG Udhampur Doda range and apprised him about the police action against them who has assure them that he will look
According to reports, four employees of different departments of state Government among ten were allegedly arrested by Basantagrh police from Basantgarh area of Udhampur district, yesterday in Gambling act .
Acting on a tip-off, police party yesterday conducted a surprise raid in Gandoh Top area of Basantgarh and arrested ten gamblers, including four employees of different departments. The accused were identified as Manmohan Sharma, resident of Jain Bazar Jammu, Rohit Sharma, resident of Basant Garh, Kasturi Lal (Helper in Forest Department), resident of Ramnagar, Jagdish Raj , resident of Majori, Sadiq Mohammad (IVth class employee), Sadiq Ali, Satpal, residents of Ramnagar, Sanju Kumar, (Staff Assistant, Sheep and Animal Husbandry Department), resident of Ramnagar, Subhash, resident of Kaitha, Ramnagar and Mohinder Singh, resident of Gandoh Top. Police has also claimed that Rs 15,000 amount was seized from their possession .
