‘Waste material management helpful in developing entrepreneurial skills’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sept 27: Government Degree College Bishnah organized a workshop on Waste Material Management as a tribute to Gandhian philosophy of self-sufficiency. The workshop is a part of Gandhi Jayanti Week being celebrated in the college from September 25 to October 2 Nisha Mangotra, designer director, Khazani Women Polytechnic, Dehradun Uttranchal, Suneeta Dogra and. Raslin Kour, fashion designers faculty from Khazani along with a group of students, including Ashu Thakur, Davinder Kour, Anu Radha, Anita Singh and Rajain Choudhary were the resource persons. They displayed a wonderful talent of making decorative and useful things out of waste materials. Earlier, Veena Pandita, principal while declaring the workshop open stressed upon the students of the college that the waste material management not only helps to keep the environment clean but also helps one to develop entrepreneurial skills. She explained how this can be the basic step towards the ladder of entrepreneurship quoting many examples of such success stories. The workshop ended with the vote of thanks by Alka Sharma, staff secretary of the college.
