B.V.P conducts national group song competition | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 27: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Jammu east conducted national group song competition in the auditorium of government college for women Gandhi Nagar Jammu. On this occasion Ashok Gupta was chief guest and Prof. Nalini Kohli of Principal, GCW, Gandhi Nagar was the guest of honour. Speaking on this occasion, Er-Gopal Sharma threw light on the objectives of BVP and narrated the importance of national group song competition were as Prof SC Anand explained the rules of the competition was held in two categories i.e Hindi and Sanskrit. Six teams in hindi category and three teams in Sanskrit Category participated from different school of Jammu east. A colourful atmosphere was created by the echoing of patriotic songs with static actions by different teams. The competition in both the categories remained neck to neck. In hindi category Delhi Public school was adjudged first were as Dreamland Public school and Oriental Academy settled with second and third position respectively. In another competition, in Sanskrit category Delhi Public school bagged first position whereas second and third position went in the favour of Oriental academy and Dreamland Public School. The chief guest Ashok Gupta and guest of honour Prof. Nalini Kohli lauded the role of BVP which conducts this competition every year for inculcating patriotism among youth. Four members of BVP namely Nathu Ram Gupta, Sh. Inder Parkash Sharma, Usha Anand, Rakesh Gupta were honoured for their outstanding contribution to B.V.P.
