Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 28: A nine member team of Youth Movement for Peace (YMP) headed by its Chairman Vikas Sharma surveyed flood affected areas of Leh during their visit from Sept-22-27 to Leh. In a handout issued here today, it has been said that the team surveyed about 21 villages including Choglamsar, Sabu, Shey, Tashi-Gassal, Phyang, Nimoo, Leh, Gya, Miru, Domkar and Basgo. YMP distributed relief material of about 2 tons comprising warm clothes – jackets, sweaters, shawls, socks, trousers, gloves, ladies suits, shirts, t-shirts, coats, blankets, bedding, warm track suits and other eatables such as wheat, rice, biscuits, rusks, etc. in different affected areas of Leh. An amount of Rs. 74, 700 and Medicines of about Rs. 56,000 comprising of anti-biotic, anti-allergic, painkillers, cough syrup and health tonics were also distributed among the victims. During the survey, team of YMP met the victims. Team attended a meeting session with Deputy Commissioner (Leh) Tsering Wangchuk, Chief Medical Officer (Leh) and other officers. Team of YMP included Vikas Sharma, Ranjana Sharma, Rekha Sharma, Gagandeep Singh, Meenakshi Kour, Janak Dheer, Balbir Gill, Omeal and Sachin Luthra.
