Protesting against water scarcity, majority of residents of Shiv Nagar area of Udhampur, today held protest demonstration demanding drinking water .
The protesters were anti administration and anti PHE slogans as they were facing acute shortage of water. The residents threatened the administration to launch agitation and demanded immediate restoration of water supply in the area.
They alleged that despite representation given to local PHE officers, no one had come to heed to their grievance till date .They alleged that the lane opposite to ARTO office near Davika temple is not getting water supply and when it is given the pressure is very low. They added that they are forced to fetch water for drinking from as natural water sources bowalis near Shiv temple Davika .They gave ultimatum to administration and PHE to restore the water supply in the area or they will launch agitation.
