Panun Kashmir to Govt; Don’t push adventurers, Ombudsmen into shoes of interlocutors | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 28: Chairman, Panun Kashmir advisory Dr. MK Teng and Chairman Maharaja Gulab Singh Chair, University of Jammu, in a joint- statement issued here today are deeply concerned about the appointment of interlocutors to be nominated by the government of India to carryout so called dialogue with various sectors of the society in J&K. They said everybody in the state of Jammu and Kashmir knows that there is a galaxy of self-styled-experts on Kashmir, who have been jockeying to get into the position of interlocutors and middlemen in the long search for solutions and settlements of the so-called Kashmir problem. Most of them have been parading as the wise men and well-wishers of the Muslim, other minorities and celebrities of secularism in the country, where the Hindu majority of the Indian people is believe to pose a threat to secularism and pluri-cultural society of India. As per press release Panun Kashmir appeals to the Indian Government not to push in adventurers and do a disservice not ombudsmen or career seekers into the shoes of the interlocutors and do a disservice not only to the national interests of the country but to the interests of the various sections of people in Jammu and Kashmir who have suffered severely at the hands of such men during the last six decades of Indian freedom.
