DPN hail initiative taken by union Govt | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 28: The Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) the initiative taken by the Government of India through the delegation on Kashmir headed by Home Minister of P. Chidambram, a big boost to restore peace in the valley. The 8-point initiative for bringing about peace in the Valley including release of 200 youth detained for stone pelting coupled with de-scaling of security personnel is seen as a sigh of relief. Similarly the appointment of two task forces for examining the development needs in Jammu and Ladakh regions in equally appreciable. DPN also appealed to youth of valley to shun violence and actively participate in development process in shoulder to shoulder with state govt. which is already in the process of addressing the genuine demands of youths. The relief package of Rs. 5 Lacs to each of the seceased family those killed in civil disturbance since June-2010 besides 100 crores package of rebuilding of schools and educational institutions is a big relief to the masses of valley. The party requested the Government to keep in view that the economic/ industrial losses incurred by the business class in Jammu region be duly considered while assessing similar losses in Valley as both the regions are fully interdependent on each other in this aspect.
