| First ever cross country race organized in militant infested area | | |

Jammu/Sept 28: For peace and communal harmony a cross country race was organized by police in militant infested area of Marmat in district Doda today in which hundreds of youth took participation.
SSP Doda Prabat Singh said that for restoration of peace and to ease tension of militancy among the youth a cross country race was organized. The proposal was mooted to the Police Headquarters which gave nod for the same and also sanction expenditure for the purpose. Three contestants who bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions were given award of Rs 7000,4000 and 2000 respectively. They are Panchi Ram, Darshan Kumar and Raj Kumar of Marmat. That participants later were given refreshments and certificates.
