Adbi Kunj holds literary meet

JAMMU, Sept 29: In its multilingual literary meet, Adbi Kunj, Jammu today organised a special, multi faces and multilingual and tributes meet at its literary centre in New Shastri Memorial Higher Secondary School, Jammu. Sham Talib, a well known, multilingual, poet, writer, critic and journalist, while noted, intellectual and literature lover Dr Suraj Parkash Dua from Pathankot was the chief guest of the meet. The proceedings were conducted by a well known singer poet Ved Upal Ved. The organization remembered some outstanding personalities of the literature and culture and congratulated the world famous singer Lata Mangeshkar on her 82nd birth anniversary. Adbi Kunj also remembered an eminent Urdu Educationist, writer, poet and critic Prof Gain Chand Jain, the pioneer of the Urdu Department of Jammu University. In the condolence session, the organization mourned the demise of veteran Urdu poet of Pakistan, Mouhsan-Aihsan. He died in London. Adbi Kunj also condoled the demise of noted journalist of the State Rajinder Singh Charkha. He was 70.
Meanwhile, in the prose session of the meet Muni Lal Puri read out a special Urdu paper on the various aspects of the human personality, K.L. Dewana, readout an Urdu short story. Gurbat-which was translation of a Hindi short story of Ved Parkash Pandey of U.P, Sham Talib also printed a creative, analysis Urdu paper, on the famous urdu ghazal of veteran Urdu poet late Amar Chand Qais, which was based on one-QAFIA.
Other poets of the session included Muni Lal Puri, Dr. Bhat Bhushan Gupta, Com. Jaswant Singh, K.L. Dewana, Ved Upal Ved, Sanjeev Kumar, Karan Gupta, Raj Kumar Uttam, Rajeev Kumar, Chander Ved Parkash, Ram Lal Gulab, Ajay Jogi, Ravi Rohmetra, Rakesh Sharma Sarkar, Vikash Chander Sharma, Depak Kenathiya and Sham Talib. The meet come to end with the vote of thanks by Com. Jaswant Singh, Chief organization of Adbi Kunj, Jammu.
