| Air Force Station Jammu celebrates Hindi Pakhwada | | |

JAMMU, Sept 29: Air force Station Jammu celebrated Hindi Pakhwada (Hindi Fortnight) from 14 Sep to 28 Sep with vigor and enthusiasm.
During the fortnight long celebrations, various Hindi competitions were organized wherein large number of air warriors participated.
The main events included Hindi essay writing, Hindi typing, Hindi debate and Hindi poetry recitation.
In addition Hindi banners were put up at vantage points and distribution of literature like hand-outs, charts, pamphlets etc were undertaken to propagate the use of Hindi.
The participating air warriors were in two categories, Hindi speaking and Non Hindi speaking. The participants showed excellent involvement and commitment in their respective competitions.
Hindi Poetry recitation was held on 28 Sep. The wit, humour, zeal and patriotic fervor expressed by the participants through their poetic exuberance enthralled the audience. Group captain Ghar Singh, station commander AF station Jammu , the Chief Guest, gave away the prizes to the winners.
In his concluding address he congratulated the prize winners and lauded the efforts put in by the station education flight in making the Hindi Fortnight a success.
He also exhorted all commanding officers, branch heads, squadron/flight commanders and the gathering present to contribute in every possible way to make the spread of Hindi in the station.
