Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 29: “Tall claims of the government that the state has reached substantial development level face defeat at the ground level as soon as one travels to far off places like the Bani and Basohli Assembly segments in Kathua district”, said Dr Darakhshan Andrabi while addressing a public gathering at Lawang village in Bani today.
She was accompanied by SDP leaders Peer Abdul Majeed Shah, Ajay Kumar and Kamal Chand.
Later she also addressed a party delegates’ convention at Dak Bunglow in Basohli. Darakhshan Andrabi said that this constituency has been represented by ministers even but one fails to understand why this area was so backward and deprived of basic amenities.
She said that the governments only listen to the anti-social sloganeering and only respond to trouble makers. She said that the woes of the peace loving people of this area have been ignored and exploited by politicians and rulers.
Andrabi distributed rice, flour and cash among the very needy people living below poverty line during her public interaction programmes.
Making a reference to Ayodhya verdict of Allahabad High Court to be delivered tomorrow, Darakhshan Andrabi said she believes in the religious tolerance of the matured people of the country and there will be no reaction anywhere.
She said that whatever problems we encounter on the communal front is the creation of the opportunist and sinister politics.
She appealed to the people of all faiths of J&K to be calm in all conditions, whatever the decision of the court.
She said that a scope of going to the Supreme Court for the involved parties remains there.
Andrabi said that the politicians have already polarized and divided people on their mean agendas in the state and because of this all are undergoing a very terrible time for two decades now.
“We cannot afford to be exploited more. Politics of communalism has matured us a lot and we are aware of the sinister plots of communal divide which we now out rightly reject,” said Andrabi . She said she is hopeful of a matured and calm acceptance of the court verdict
