| JJSF condemns erratic awarding of scholarships to needy students | | |

JAMMU, Sept 29: Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) has condemned the erratic procedure of scholarships given by different institutions..
In a press conference held here today, JJSF state vice president president Partap Singh said that those students who deserve scholarship weren’t given the same at exact time. He also stated that the money which is given in the shape of scholarship is very inadequate and not sufficient to fulfill their requirements.
Jamwal alleged that some of institution haven’t yet given last year’s scholarship so far. He said that the delay by the administrations plays big role in the spoiling career of poor students as the students don’t get study material at right time and suffer a lot.
He again said that the scholarship is a big source far the poor and categorized students.
Meanwhile he alleged that govt. is giving various money packages to the stone palters who don’t deserve, but is delaying the scholarship which were given to the deserving students.
He further said that JJSF has supported bandh call for tomorrow. He said that this call is a fight of discrimination and appealed to all the students to come out and support this fight.
He demanded that their must be a time frame for scholarship and it should be given at a specific time every year. He also demanded to raise the amount of scholarship.
Others who were present in the press conference included Mohd. Zaman, Mohd. Arif, Stanzin, Sumit Gupta, Rawat Manhas and Rohit Sharma.
