JKNPP accuses Jammu based ministers of betrayal

JAMMU, Sept 29: Accusing ministers from Jammu region of betrayal, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) leader Harshdev Singh has sought resignation of Jammu based ministers, alleging that they have lost moral authority to continue.
He, however said that JKNPP will always fight for the cause of Jammu region. Talking to media persons here today, Harshdev said that Jammu based minister utterly failed to safeguard, protect and promote interests of Jammu people in backdrop of the recent episode wherein a package had been announced by the Centre for Kashmir including those killed during anti-government and anti-India protests’.
Questioning the criminal silence of the Jammu based Ministers over the denial of any ex-gratia to the next of kin of those killed during Shri Amarnath Land row, he charged the said ministers of succumbing lo the dictates of their Kashmiri bosses and tailing to ensure even the implementation of agreement already singed by the government.
He alleged that the 18 month coalition rule in the state bears testimony to highly biased and prejudiced mindset of the present rulers. He also said that government of India approved Rs 386 crore package for Wullar Lake, Rs 1100 crore for Dal Lake and Rs 2500 crore project for River Jhelum conservation and beautification while neglecting lakes and water bodies of Jammu region including Mansar, Dalsar and Surinsar.
Harshdev Singh strongly flayed the casual approach of the Jammu Ministers leading to de-recognition of the Dental College Jammu and Central University Jammu issue. Commenting over assembly session begin tomorrow, he said, “JKNPP want assembly to run so that they could exposed the Omar led Coalition on various fronts”.
On BJP move of bringing no confidence motion, harsh said, “Let us see what will happen in the session”. JKNPP leaders Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA and Yash Paul Kundal MLA said that having belied the hopes and aspirations of the people of Jammu region, the Ministers of Jammu had lost their moral right to continue in office. They said that propriety and Accountability demanded that the said Ministers step down.
