| 14 bovines seized, smuggler arrested | | | LAKHANPUR: Fourteen bovines were recovered from a truck under registration No. HR47-4765, being smuggled to Punjab from Jammu here today. According to the sources, SHO, Lakhanpur Surinder Choudhary after receiving information laid a naka on the road and stopped the truck. During checking found 14 bovines inside. Police arrested the person who was accompanying the bovine has been identifies as Baldev Singh S/o Milka Singh R/o Gharota, Dinanagar, Punjab and is interrogating him in police station.
During interrogation he confess that animals were being smuggled to Punjab. A case has been registered against him.
