PSA issued against two for sacrilege act | | | Jammu: Reasi police today booked two persons under Public Safety Act (PSA) for sacrilege act. As per police hand-out, Chassana police arrested two persons - Mohd Yousaf and Shabir Ahmed, both sons of Habib Ullah, residents of Shergarhi, Mahore on specific information that the duo were allegedly involved in slaughtering the cow. As a part of investigation, police came to know that the duo were hired by one Asgar Ali, son of Haji Ghulam Hussain, a resident of Shergharhi, Mahore for sacrilege act with a intention to create communal tension and accordingly PSA was issued against him on the directions of District Magistrate, Reasi. Meanwhile, recently Chassana police through reliable sources had arrested John Mohd, son of Noor Mohd alias Noora; Ghulam Hussain son of Noor Mohd alias Noora, Sikandar, son of Ghulam Hussain and Rehana, wife of Taj Khan, all residents of Chithal, Mohar for alleged slaughtering of a cow and a case in this connection was registered against them but during investigation it surfaced out that one Mohd Razaq son of Noor Mohd, a resident of Hassote, Mohara had slaughtered a cow in the respective residence of arrested persons at night and fled from the spot leaving the dead cow. During interrogation, Mohd Razaq admitted his crime and informed police that he had slaughtered the cow at night when the family members were sleeping and accordingly a PSA was also lodged against him. |
