Ultra surrender before army, police in Rajouri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Sept 29: Hizbul Mujahideen outfit has planned to recruit more youth of Rajouri to carry on bloodshed in the state on the name of "Jihad". This was disclosed by a HM militant Taj Mohammad who surrendered here before army and police realizing the disadvantage of militancy. As per reports, a militant of HM namely Taj Mohammad, son of Late Hassan Mohammad, a resident of Hubi village of Kotranka tehsil today surrendered before army and police here. According to this surrendered militant, HM is planning to recruit more and more youth of district Rajouri in the outfit. "I was recruited by HM Commander Abu Kazafi who has planned to recruit more people from this side carry out anti-army operations", he said, adding, he left the militant outfit because he was fed up with the daily tension. He said he was kidnapped by the HM militants in June this year . He said they accused him of conspiracy behind killing of HM commander Jan Nissar who was killed by the army in the same month. He said that they motivated him to join militancy and pick up weapon for "Jihad". However, he said that it is not a Jihad but a killing machine. Three months into the life of a militants, always on the run and fearing death in an encounter with the security forces coupled with the realization of implications of taking innocent lives and indulging in violent activities had a deep impact on his psyche. He had a change of mind and decided to give up militancy, return to his village and be near his young wife and two children-a three years old son and a daughter just few days old. Fearing danger of life and limb for himself and his family members at the hands of militants and their handlers, Mohammad finally decided to surrender before army. Romeo force contacted him and motivated him to surrender in a surrender ceremony held here in presence of large number of media persons and officials of police and local administration. He also surrendered one AK 47 rifle, one magazine, 30 rounds, one hand grenade and 22 detonators. |
