Court awards five days remand to Patwari | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sept 30 (JNF): Special Judge Anti-corruption, Jammu, AK Koul today granted five days police remand of Patwari Nissar Hussain, who was caught red-handed on September 29, by VOJ while accepting bribe of Rs 3000 from the complainant. An application was moved by CPO Purshtom Sharma, VOJ, seeking remanded to police custody of Patwari Nissar Hussain Atta Mohammad R/o Fatehpur posted as Patwari Halqa Panjgran, Rajouri for a period of seven days. The accused was present in custody. Court after gone through application granted five days police remand for further investigation with the direction that Investigation Officer shall ensure his medical check after every 48 hours or when and if need arises. The IO shall be completed investigation without any further delay. According to the VOJ case, one Poonchi Ram S/o Sh Lal Dass R/o Patrara, Panjgran Rajouri lodged a written complaint with P/S Vigilance Organisation Jammu stating therein that the accused Nissar Hussain S/o Atta Mohammad R/o Fatehpur posted as Patwari Halqa Panjgran, Rajouri demanded Rs 3000/- as illegal gratification for effecting an entry of land in the revenue record. The said land was gifted by the grandson of the complainant to his sister out of his own share duly registered in the Court.
