CME on mental health challenges in Counter Insurgency Operations on Oct 3 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Udhampur, Sep30: A two-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Mental Health Challenges in Counter Insurgency Operations will be held at Command Hospital (Northern Command) from October 3 . The CME is designed to sensitize young medical officers, commanders at various levels and administrators about stress related psychological disturbances among soldiers serving in counter insurgency areas. The speakers would be eminent Military/ Civil Psychiatrists and Commanders actively involved in counter insurgency operations. The conference would include a panel discussion involving doctors and Infantry Commanders on stress in low intensity conflict. The attending delegates coming from all over the country will be sensitised to the mental health problems being faced and various strategies developed in its management in this low intensity conflict environment.
