FMHPW candidates stage dharna | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua, Sept 30: The FMHPW candidates in NHRM of Kathua district staged one day dharna under the banner of Mahila Adhikar Sangthan in front of office of the Chief Medical Officer, Kathua in protest against the bungling in the selection of FMPHW. On the occasion, the protestors resented over the favourtism and corrupt practices in selection adopted by the CMO and DC kathua and released the controversial selection lists which showed violations of all the rules and guidelines of the NHRM. The state president of Mahila Adhikar Sangthan State and National award winner in education Santosh Khajuria lambasted the Chief medical officer Ashok Chanyal along with chairman of the selection committee DC Kathua Sanjeev Verma. Khajuria accused both of having been taken bribe from the bogus selected candidates and left the future of genuine and deserving candidates in darkness. She said that as per the rule of NHRM all the FMPHW had to be selected from their respective and concerned villages but in the fresh released list all are out of area and ignored the candidates of residential areas. All the protestors opposed and stopped the joining of all the selected candidates who did come to seek joining in CMO office, kathua. Later, all the selected candidates gathered in the front of CMO office and raised slogans against the protestors. While interacting with the media, CMO Kathua denied all the allegations and said that the selection of FMPHW in NHRM was entirely genuine and fair, and those candidates who are on protest basically are not falling in merit and further told that on appointment letter it is clearly written that all the selected candidates are strictly bound to have joining after getting the full residential proof documents attested by first class magistrate. The CMO further assured the protesters that if any bungling is found in connection of selection list that would be honestly sorted out .
