| Thanamandi encounter: Jawan hurt, ultras escape | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Sept 30: One army jawan was injured in an encounter between militants and army in Manyal Gali area of Rajouri while all the militants escaped from the area taking the advantage of dense forests.
Sources said that an army jawan has been injured in an encounter near Thanamandi area on Rajouri Poonch road.
Defence sources said a patrol party was on its way from Thanamandi to Deragali was attacked by militants. Although the encounter continued for an hour, however the militants managed to escape the cordon.
Senior Superintendent of Police R.K. Jalla when contacted confirmed that some militants were hiding near Manyal Gali who attacked patrol party of the army in which one jawan was injured. He also admitted that all the militants have escaped taking the advantage of the forests. |
