| CM has no concern for Jammu, Ladakh : BJP | | |

Jammu, Oct 1: The State BJP alleged that the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has totally been exposed for his Kashmir centric approach.
In a press statement issued here today, BJP state president Shamsher Singh Manhas while reacting to the statement that ‘109 deaths feel like 109 pieces pulled out of my heart’, said that it were the indicators that the state chief minister has no pain or concern for the miseries and precious lives of the people belonging to Jammu and Ladakh.
Manhas said Omar Abdullah should remember that he is the chief minister of Jammu & Kashmir state and it is not only the Kashmir but Jammu and Ladakh too, which are equally important regions of the state. He said that the said statement has sent wrong signals in Jammu and Ladakh and the CM should apologize for the same.
Manhas reminded Omar Abdullah that the recent cloudbursts and heavy rains in Ladakh consumed about five hundred lives besides causing damage to the public as well as private properties worth crores of rupees. ‘Thousands of the people are still waiting their rehabilitation. It is unfortunate that the chief minister did not express any such heart-felt sympathy towards them. Perhaps it is so because they did not belong to Kashmir valley or a particular faith’, he mentioned.
The BJP Chief said that the BJP has been repeatedly raising the issue of discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh regions and the CM himself have been claiming of fair treatment to all the regions of the state, which is aimed at misleading the people. In practical, the CM’s approach towards Jammu and Ladakh and the people living there is totally different.
Manhas also charged CM for showing no sympathy towards the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the 2008 historic Shri Amarnath yatra land agitation.
Manhas advised the Chief Minister to abandon his Kashmir-centric approach and treat the people of Jammu and Ladakh as important as that of Kashmir.
